Practice Areas

My practice is concentrated in Attorney Disciplinary Defense (Florida Bar Grievances), Bar Admission (proceedings before The Florida Board of Bar Examiners), Family Law (divorce, child custody, child support, domestic violence), and Commercial and Business Litigation.  Although I don't handle every type of case, I've been a lawyer for over twenty years, and I have substantial trial experience in several areas of the law.

Litigation involves much more than what goes on in court.  It involves thorough investigation, pre-suit strategy and  counsel, and asserting and defending a client's position with the opposing side.  When a lawsuit becomes necessary, it means legal research, preparation of pleadings and motions, and extensive discovery.  If the case doesn't settle, it means a trial before a judge or jury, and the need for effective presentation of evidence through key documents and witnesses.

If you're involved in a legal dispute, you should be careful about who you hire.  You'll want an attorney with the experience to truly know not just the law, but how to handle your case -- what arguments are strong, what positions may harm your case, and which strategies could backfire.  And you should be even more cautious about trying to handle the matter without an attorney's assistance.  Many times it's cheaper to hire an attorney from the beginning than to hire an attorney to try to fix what you thought you could handle yourself.
